Andreas was born in Nicosia in 1987. He is a graduate of the Conservatory of Sofia, holding a degree in Music Pedagogy and a Master's degree in Musicology, with a specialisation in Harmony under the guidance of Professor Andrei Dyamandiev.
As a musicologist, he has engaged in the analysis of works by major composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Richard Wagner, Anton Bruckner, and Gustav Mahler, among others. His academic work also includes research and seminars focused on atonality and 20th-century composers.
The bouzouki is one of his principal instruments, which he began studying at an early age. Over the years, he has participated in numerous concerts and seminars, collaborating with distinguished teachers and virtuosi of the instrument.
In 2023, together with his wife, Victoria Marcheva, he co-founded the performing arts school Do Re Mi Studio of Arts in Nicosia. The school currently operates two branches in Strovolos and Agrokipia.
One of their most notable recent achievements was organising a major concert at the largest theatre in Nicosia, featuring renowned Greek composer Christos Nikolopoulos and acclaimed vocalist Melina Aslanidou, as part of their ongoing cultural initiatives.
Today, Andreas Charalambous teaches bouzouki, guitar, ukulele, and music theory, while actively collaborating with musicians for concerts both in Cyprus and abroad.
His lessons are available in Greek, English and Bulgarian.
