Oxana

Meet Oxana Xeni - an artist, icon painter, and a visual arts teacher in Russian, Greek and English.

Oxana was born in Ukraine, where she spent her childhood, and later moved to Cyprus, where she has lived for more than ten years.

From an early age, Oxana showed a strong interest in drawing. By developing her powers of observation, Oxana strives to convey in her works her impressions of the surrounding world. Landscapes hold a special place in her artistic practice.

Oxana also works professionally in icon painting, completing both private and church commissions. Her work is characterised by a combination of Byzantine painting techniques, the traditions of the Greek masters' school of the 1930s, and mythological motifs.

Light plays a central role in her work, as it is through its interplay that rhythm, form, line, and colour emerge.

In 2026, Oksana graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts, successfully defending her diploma project. Since 2025, she has been teaching at the Do Re Mi Studio of Arts.
